The Lay plan- first step to construction of my jacket

Starting process for the construction of my Ringmasters Jacket. Creating the pattern from a dress block and turning it into a single breasted jacket. Creating a lay plan and cutting out the material before starting the embroidery. Using the Machine i embroided the entire jacket using different colour threads and sewing some not quite perfect circus!

My first page of design....more to come!! 

I took some of the traditional pieces that would be seen in a circus performance, such a the Ringmasters Jacket and the big pocket clown trousers and i tried to add a twist to make them my own adding more detailing, pattern and colour. I have chosen to make 3 final Pieces for my Circus collection, i will develop these design taking bits from each garment.
